I received a question from someone who has the book, who was trying to help a friend. As a reminder, "having" the book will not help you unless you also "read" it -- although there was a slight twist to the question on whether a non-resident alien could own other weapons -- if not firearms. Federal gun law is very clear on the firearm and ammo issue -- a big "no" -- UNLESS -- you have a valid hunting license. But as to any other weapons besides firearms (and ammo) -- you're clear to go as long as you obey the law. So -- a non-resident alien could still own a Taser, knife, or whatever else you can think of other than firearms, weapons, and destructive devices. Hopefully, they'd also have (and read) a copy of my book -- so they know what they can or can't do with it. [Florida gun law; Federal gun law]
